The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu organized a comprehensive Hindi workshop aimed at strengthening the use of Hindi in official and administrative functions. The daylong program, conducted under the Official Language Office, brought together faculty and staff to discuss practical approaches to bilingual administration.
Dr Vichitrasen Gupta, Deputy Director (Implementation) from the Ministry of Home Affairs' Department of Official Language, delivered the keynote address. He emphasized recent provisions for strengthening Hindi in official work and advocated for bilingual practices in file noting, correspondence, and emails. Dr Gupta also highlighted digital tools like *Hindi Shabd Sindhu* and *Bahubhashi Anuvad Sarthi* to improve translation efforts.
Dr Anuja Akhouri, Co-Chairperson of the Hindi Rajbhasha Samiti, noted that wider Hindi usage enhances institutional efficiency and cultural connection. Dr Ashish Isher stressed that promoting Rajbhasha ensures compliance with government norms while creating an inclusive work environment.
The interactive workshop allowed participants to share experiences and gain practical insights, concluding with IIM Jammu reaffirming its commitment to inclusive governance practices through Hindi promotion.
