Kuku introduced India's first slate of AI-generated microdramas at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, signaling its entry into large-scale AI-powered content production. The platform showcased mytho-inspired stories, futuristic fiction, and superhero narratives designed for both Indian and global audiences.
CEO Lal Chand Bisu emphasized India's potential to lead AI-native consumer platforms, noting that Kuku has already empowered over 50,000 creators across Bharat. The company currently releases hundreds of shows monthly and plans to scale to over 1,000 high-quality, personalized shows per month in coming years.
Kuku has expanded beyond Hindi into multiple Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali, strengthening its vernacular presence. Bisu challenged the perception that Indian consumers are reluctant to pay for premium content, citing the company's growth trajectory as evidence of robust demand for mobile-first storytelling.
At the summit, Kuku demonstrated its AI storytelling stack through an interactive experience zone, showcasing tools that convert story ideas into screenplays, generate cinematic assets, and enable natural-language content discovery across the production workflow.
