A comprehensive 21-day workshop focused on Pali language recently concluded at MGM University's Einstein Auditorium in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The program was jointly organized by the Institute of Indian and Foreign Languages of MGM University and the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
The workshop aimed to highlight the significance of Pali language, Buddhist literature, philosophy, and cultural traditions. It featured an extensive curriculum of 74 teaching sessions spread across 18 working days, providing participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills.
Notable scholars including Dr. Prafulla Gadpal, Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Jaywant Khandare, Dr. Ramesh Prasad, and Dr. Ramnakshatra Prasad served as instructors, offering expertise on Pali grammar, literature, translation techniques, and Buddhist philosophical concepts.
The academic program was enriched by educational excursions to historically significant sites such as the Ajanta and Ellora caves and Grishneshwar temple, giving participants contextual understanding of Buddhist heritage.
University officials including Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam and Registrar Dr. Ashish Gadekar attended the closing ceremony, underscoring the institutional commitment to promoting ancient Indian languages and traditions.
