Visakhapatnam Railway Office Tops Hindi Implementation

The Town Official Language Implementation Committee in Visakhapatnam convened its first meeting of 2026 to assess Hindi adoption across Central government offices. Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra chaired the proceedings focused on evaluating the *progressive use of Hindi* in official work.

The Visakhapatnam Divisional Railway Office claimed top honors in the major offices category for 2025, demonstrating exemplary implementation of Hindi in administrative functions. The Naval Science and Technology Laboratory and 56th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force secured second and third positions respectively.

Among smaller offices, the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology led the rankings, followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya/Waltair and Fishery Survey of India. The committee presented shields to six institutions and distributed appreciation shields to fourteen additional regional offices, recognizing their collective efforts in promoting Hindi as an official language of communication in government operations.
