In a significant push for cultural and environmental integration, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has called upon Indians to embrace South Indian languages as part of a broader national initiative. Speaking at a seminar organized by the Isha Foundation, Chouhan unveiled plans for a comprehensive policy supporting tree-based agriculture.

The initiative draws inspiration from Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev's ecological philosophy, emphasizing agricultural systems that balance farmer prosperity with environmental health. Sadhguru, addressing the gathering, advocated for substantial reforms in current agricultural policies. He stressed the importance of farmer autonomy, calling for clearer distinctions between agricultural and forest produce, and urging the removal of barriers that currently restrict the sale of trees grown on private farmland.

This multi-faceted approach seeks to marry cultural preservation with sustainable agricultural practices, positioning environmental stewardship as integral to India's agricultural future.
