India's *SabhaSaar*, an AI-powered voice-to-text meeting summarization tool for Gram Panchayats, has expanded its language support to 23 Indian languages. The platform, launched in August 2025, recently added ten new languages: Assamese, Bodo, Dogri, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Santali, and Sindhi.
The tool was previously available in Hindi, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. This expansion enables gram sabha proceedings to be recorded and documented in local languages, making governance more accessible and participatory at the grassroots level.
*SabhaSaar* facilitates automated recording of minutes, attendance, resolutions, and action points. As of January 2026, over 1.11 lakh gram panchayats have utilized the platform for meeting summarization. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj announced this milestone alongside the achievement of over Rs 3 lakh crore in cumulative payments through the *eGramSwaraj* platform, highlighting advances in digital rural governance across India.
