The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has partnered with Anuvadini AI, an artificial intelligence-based translation platform developed by AICTE, to translate Ayurveda research into 13 regional languages including Hindi. The MoU, signed on March 30, 2026, aims to bridge the accessibility gap in scientific communication by making research outputs, the quarterly *CCRAS Bulletin*, and educational materials available to non-English-speaking audiences.
CCRAS, which operates through 30 institutes across 25 states, has long published its research primarily in English, limiting reach among wider populations. The partnership seeks to democratise access to evidence-based Ayurveda knowledge and reduce misinformation. Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of CCRAS, emphasised that the initiative would ensure research benefits citizens in their respective languages, while Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar of Anuvadini AI highlighted the platform's goal of making knowledge equitable and socially empowering. Future plans include expanding translations into foreign languages for countries with established Ayush Chairs.
