All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jammu successfully conducted a one-day workshop on Friday to promote the use of Hindi as the Official Language within the institute. The event, organized by the Hindi Department, aimed to create awareness about Official Language rules and enhance efficiency in handling official work in Hindi.
The workshop featured guest speakers Santosh Kumar, Assistant Director of the Central Hindi Training Institute, Jammu, and Sanjay Sharma, Member Secretary of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Jammu. They emphasized the importance of implementing the *Official Language Policy* and highlighted how greater use of Hindi in government work improves efficiency and communication.
Participants from various departments received practical training on noting and drafting, official correspondence, and Hindi typing on computers. The speakers used real-life examples to make the sessions engaging and informative. Officers and employees participated enthusiastically, with their queries addressed during the interactive sessions.
The initiative is being recognized as a significant step towards strengthening Hindi's role as the Official Language in the institute.
