Gnani.ai, a Bengaluru-based AI startup, has launched *Vachana TTS*, a text-to-speech model designed specifically for Indian languages. The platform supports 11 regional languages including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, and Assamese.
The technology uses advanced AI algorithms to generate natural-sounding speech that captures human intonation and rhythm while handling complex linguistic nuances such as pronunciation variations and contextual patterns. Applications span accessibility tools for visually impaired users, educational platforms, customer service voice assistants, and content creation.
The launch addresses growing demand for localized AI solutions as digital adoption accelerates in India. Gnani.ai plans to expand language support and improve speech quality through continuous training, while seeking collaborations across government, education, and entertainment sectors. This innovation represents a significant advancement in making digital content accessible to non-English speakers and fostering greater digital inclusion across India's linguistically diverse population.
