The Centre has disclosed that Sahitya Akademi has published translations of works by celebrated Kashmiri poets Lal Ded, Habba Khatoon, and Rupa Bhavani, though no publication on poet Arnimal has been released. The Akademi published *Lalleshwari Ke Vakh*, a Hindi translation of Lal Ded's classical verses, along with monographs on these poets in multiple Indian languages including English, Hindi, Urdu, and Tamil.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat revealed that Jammu and Kashmir received ₹44.55 lakh over two financial years under the *Gyan Bharatam* mission for preservation, documentation, and digitisation of manuscript heritage. The mission, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Culture, provides institutional support for survey, conservation, and research on manuscripts across India, collaborating with universities and scholars.
Support for transcribing endangered oral traditions such as Wanvun and Vakhs is available through the *Gyan Bharatam* framework, though no separate scheme exists exclusively for Jammu and Kashmir.
