The Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Tripura celebrated the achievements of twelve distinguished individuals at its annual award presentation ceremony held at Bhagat Singh Yuba Awaz Conference Hall in Agartala. The ceremony recognized outstanding contributions to Manipuri literature and cultural preservation through various named memorial awards.
The event was graced by notable guests including Rajen Toijamba, the Manipuri Language convenor at Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, who served as chief guest. The ceremony also featured the presence of organizational leaders and patrons of Manipuri literary traditions. Recipients were honoured with awards including the Ningthoukhongjam Chandrahas Ningsing Mana, RK Surendrajit-Shija Bidhu Ningsing Mana, and several other prestigious memorial awards named after eminent literary figures.
This annual recognition programme underscores the continued efforts of the Manipuri Sahitya Parishad in promoting and preserving the rich literary heritage of the Manipuri language and culture within the northeastern Indian region.
