Meta continues expanding its creator tools with major updates focused on Indian language support. The platform now offers AI-powered translation for reels in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi, complementing existing support for Hindi, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The new translation feature preserves the creator's original voice tone and sound while offering optional lip-syncing that matches translated audio to mouth movements. This allows creators to reach broader international audiences while maintaining authenticity.
Additionally, Meta has introduced new Indian fonts supporting Devanagari and Bengali-Assamese scripts for languages including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, and Assamese. These fonts are now available in the text editing tools on Instagram and Facebook, with Android rollout coming in the coming days.
These updates are part of a broader push to empower creators with AI-assisted editing capabilities, including photo restyling, bulk caption editing, video reversal, and access to expanded sound effect libraries.
