Mysuru Literature Festival Highlights Sanskrit Preservation

The 10th Mysuru Literature Festival brought together authors, historians, and language enthusiasts for a celebration of literature and linguistic preservation. Among the highlights was K.S. Jayalakshmi's presentation on her efforts to preserve classical and endangered languages through *Sudharma*, a Sanskrit daily, while also working to safeguard Saurashtra.

The festival, inaugurated by Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, featured multiple book releases including *Malgudiya Mayakarana Mane* marking R.K. Narayan's 120th birth anniversary, and works like *Core Strength: Triton Valves - The First Fifty Years* and *If Gandhi Returned*. Literary sessions included discussions by Shatavadhani R. Ganesh on preserving literature and poetry, and insights from aviation pioneer Capt. G.R. Gopinath on contemporary India.

The festival also honored Padma Shri recipient Ankegowda and concluded with a documentary screening on the Cauvery river, demonstrating the intersection of literature, language preservation, and regional heritage.
