Renowned playback singer Papon has expanded his multilingual musical portfolio by making his debut in Odia music with the romantic track *Kuni Kuni*. The song, featuring lyrics by Sunil Parida and music by Bharat-Hitarth, captures the essence of love and longing through its poetic composition.
Papon, who hails from Assam, described singing in Odia as "a completely new experience" that required him to adapt to the language's pronunciation, rhythm, and cultural nuances. He found Odia to have "a beautiful emotional depth" that allowed him to express romance in "a very pure and honest way."
With this release, Papon has now sung in eleven Indian languages, having previously performed in Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Urdu, Mishing, Bodo, Tiwa, and Punjabi. The singer expressed gratitude to his Odia fans, hoping the song would resonate with listeners and become "a song they make memories with."
