Indian AI startup SarvamAI has unveiled *Samvaad*, a conversational chat platform supporting 22 Indian languages, positioning it as a domestically built alternative to global systems like ChatGPT and Google Gemini. Announced at the India AI Impact Summit, the platform is designed for enterprises, developers, and government services with applications in customer support, healthcare, education, and public service delivery.
Built on indigenous AI models as part of the *Sarvam for Conversations* agentic stack, Samvaad emphasizes local data control and cost optimization for Indian deployment. The company also introduced *Arya* for workplace automation and content-generation tools for organizational workflows.
SarvamAI announced partnerships with Bosch Technology, Qualcomm, and HMD to support hardware-level optimization and enterprise deployments. The startup revealed plans to launch AI wearable glasses *Sarvam Kaze* by May 2026 and introduced *Pravaah*, an AI token factory for India-centric development.
The platform represents a significant step in India's push for indigenous multilingual AI infrastructure aligned with local language and deployment requirements.
