The West Central Railway held its 72nd Regional Official Language Implementation Committee meeting in Jabalpur under General Manager Pramod Kumar Khatri's chairmanship, focusing on advancing Hindi in official operations.
General Manager Khatri emphasized that promoting Hindi aligns with the *Official Language Policy of the Government of India* and requires collective effort rather than individual initiative. He expressed satisfaction with the railway's progress in Hindi implementation and directed department heads to effectively implement official language provisions.
A significant highlight was the release of *Rajbhasha Sarita*, the 56th issue of the quarterly official language magazine published by the Official Language Department. Chief Official Language Officer M.S. Hashmi presented updates on programs conducted across headquarters, divisions, and workshops, while also announcing that West Central Railway Headquarters received the prestigious Rail Minister's Official Language Shield at the Railway Board level.
Committee members and officials from various divisions participated online, sharing progress reports and suggestions for enhancing Hindi usage in railway operations.
