In a remarkable effort to preserve cultural identity, 15-year-old Faisal Ayoub Bhat from South Kashmir's Anantnag district has embarked on a digital mission focused on the Kashmiri language.
The Class 10 student, who began with gaming videos in 2020, relaunched his content creation efforts in August 2025 with a singular focus on Kashmiri-language content - addressing a significant gap in the digital landscape.
*"The Kashmiri language is not just a language but an identity. Kasher zabaan che saanie pehchaan,"* Bhat told Kashmir News Service, emphasizing the importance of promoting the mother tongue in digital formats.
With minimal Kashmiri-language content currently available online, Bhat aims to create a substantial digital presence for the language and culture. His initiative encourages Kashmiri youth to express themselves digitally while maintaining connections to their linguistic roots and cultural heritage.
