The Assam Publication Board has announced 49 fellowship recipients under the *Granthabarsha 2025 Fellowship* program, supporting writers across multiple languages of the state. From 547 manuscripts submitted by 512 authors, a ten-member selection committee led by lexicographer Sumanta Chaliha selected works in 22 categories.

The initiative invited manuscripts in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo and various indigenous languages of Assam, reflecting the state's multilingual literary heritage. Selected works cover diverse subjects including history, literature, culture, indigenous communities, science, and translations.

Each fellowship recipient will receive Rs 50,000 and a certificate of recognition. The program represents a flagship initiative of the Assam Publication Board during the Year of Books celebrations, aimed at promoting literary excellence and supporting authors working in the state's diverse linguistic landscape.
