The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation in Dehradun organized a comprehensive Hindi workshop on March 25, bringing together 35 participants for a full day of training and instruction.
The workshop was conducted in two sessions at the Dr VV Dhruv Narayan Seminar Hall, with Dr Someshwar Pandey, Senior Official Language Officer, and Er Amit Chauhan, Assistant Chief Technical Officer, serving as the main trainers.
During the first session, Dr Pandey delivered an extensive lecture covering multiple aspects of the Hindi language, including the historical influence of Sanskrit and Pali languages on Hindi. He also addressed practical administrative topics such as quarterly reports and the use of *Kanthasth* in the e-Office system, demonstrating the workshop's focus on both linguistic knowledge and practical application in official settings.
The workshop represents ongoing efforts by government institutions to promote Hindi language proficiency and its effective use in administrative functions.
