Jammu and Kashmir's Minister for IT and other portfolios, Satish Sharma, has emphasized the critical role of linguistic inclusion in digital governance at the *BHASHINI Rajyam Workshop* held in Jammu on Tuesday.
The workshop, organized by the Information Technology Department and Digital India BHASHINI Division, focused on enabling AI-driven multilingual solutions across various sectors. Sharma stated that the initiative reflects the *true spirit of Digital India* by ensuring technology empowers all citizens regardless of language or literacy barriers.
Under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's leadership, the J&K government is committed to making digital services accessible to all citizens. The Minister assured full government support to the BHASHINI mission through piloting innovative use cases and promoting multilingual digital governance.
Dr. Piyush Singla, IT Department Secretary, highlighted how digital platforms enhance governance transparency and efficiency, while BHASHINI Rajyam CEO Amitabh Garg presented on the program's architecture and applications in bridging the language divide across governance, education, and public service delivery.
