Jana Chaitanya Vedika (JCV) State president Bakuru Joginaidu has appealed to Education Minister Nara Lokesh to reintroduce *Telugu medium* instruction in government schools, arguing that students grasp lessons and gain knowledge only when taught in their mother tongue.
In a statement, Joginaidu dismissed the belief that English medium guarantees better education, calling it *only a myth*, and pointed to widespread unemployment as evidence that language of instruction alone does not determine success. He also criticized the previous YSRCP government for discontinuing Telugu medium in state schools despite strong objections from teachers and parents.
Citing a 1956 Centre directive that primary education should be conducted in the mother tongue for children's holistic development, Joginaidu reiterated the importance of linguistic continuity in early education. He announced that JCV would submit a formal petition to Minister Lokesh, who is expected to interact with students in Vizianagaram, urging swift policy reconsideration in favor of Telugu medium teaching.
