The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organized a vibrant cultural programme showcasing Punjabi and Dogri folk dance and music at Buzarga Da Behra, Salmeri, Vijaypur. The event was attended by former DDC Member Avtar Singh as Chief Guest and noted artist Jang S. Verman as Guest of Honour.
Chief Guest Avtar Singh praised the Academy's efforts in organizing such programmes, emphasizing their importance in helping youth connect with art, culture and languages to preserve heritage. Editor S. Popinder Singh Paras highlighted the Academy's commitment to promoting the rich cultural and linguistic traditions of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in far-flung areas.
The programme featured performances by multiple musical groups including Subash Chander & Party, Anita Choudhary & Party, Rajkumar & Party, and singers Shyam Manyal and Sulekha Farid. The cultural presentations were well-received by a large audience comprising senior citizens, villagers and youth. The event provided a platform for emerging talent to showcase their abilities while staying connected to their cultural roots.
