In a ceremony at Delhi's Sahitya Akademi Auditorium, Patanjali Yogpeeth presented the 'Tathagat Sahitya Samman' to Kerala's senior Hindi writer A. Aravindakshan and Arunachal Pradesh's emerging poet Jamuna Bini, symbolizing an important North-South cultural bridge.
The award, established in memory of litterateur Ramdarash Mishra, celebrates significant contributions to Hindi literature. Aravindakshan's work *Dhadkanon Ke Bheetar Jaakar* explores emotional depths, while Bini's *Jab Adivasi Gaata Hai* gives voice to tribal perspectives and linguistic identity.
Notable writers including Anamika, Om Nischal, Ashok Vajpeyi, and Chandrakanta participated in the event, which began with a Kathak performance based on Mahakavi Nirala's composition.
This initiative aligns with Patanjali's broader mission - founded by Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna - of promoting cultural heritage alongside yoga and Ayurveda for holistic societal wellness.
