The group took issue with two main concerns: the absence of Kannada name boards at the event and the exclusive playing of Tamil songs without any Kannada musical representation.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike state president Praveen Shetty personally intervened at the venue, demanding organizers cease playing Tamil songs and include Kannada music in the program.
The confrontation prompted mall authorities to contact local law enforcement, with officers from Koramangala police station quickly arriving to manage the situation and prevent further escalation.
This incident highlights ongoing linguistic tensions in Karnataka, where advocacy for Kannada representation in public spaces has become increasingly assertive in recent years.
