The Divisional Official Language Implementation Committee (DOLIC) of South Coast Railway's Vijayawada Division met to review progress on implementing the *Official Language Policy*. Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonakiya emphasized that Hindi implementation is a collective responsibility across all Central government offices.
The division has significantly exceeded prescribed targets for Hindi usage. Against a 35% target for Hindi noting, Vijayawada Division achieved 87.87%. Similarly, for replying in Hindi to correspondence received in Hindi, the division recorded 88% against a 60% target.
With a potential inspection by the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language approaching, officials were urged to increase Hindi usage in routine work and ensure Hindi items are included in every inspection report. The division also released its quarterly e-magazine *Vijayarath* during the meeting.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager PE Edwin, who also serves as Additional Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari, reported these achievements, highlighting the division's commitment to promoting Hindi in official communications.
