The Railway Hindi Advisory Committee convened its 62nd meeting at Rail Bhavan to assess the progress of Hindi implementation throughout Indian Railways. Union Ministers Ravneet Singh Bittu and V. Somanna chaired the session, which brought together parliamentarians, committee members, and railway officials from zonal offices, production units, and training institutes.

The meeting examined detailed reports on Hindi correspondence, bilingual operations, training workshops, and compliance with *official language policy* targets. Participants reviewed action taken on previous decisions and inspections conducted by the Committee of Parliament on Official Language during the reporting period.

Committee members provided recommendations to enhance Hindi usage in administrative operations, communication channels, training modules, and public-facing services across the railway network. Special emphasis was placed on effective field-level implementation, capacity development for officials, and sustained monitoring of compliance standards.

Both ministers assured attendees that the committee's suggestions would be examined and implemented within specified timeframes, reaffirming Indian Railways' commitment to promoting Hindi in official work while maintaining operational efficiency across its vast network.
