A workshop dedicated to promoting Sanskrit through music, titled *Sanskrit Geetani*, was inaugurated in Lucknow under the joint aegis of Sanskrit Sansthan and Jyoti Kalash Sansthan. The inaugural session at Amod Ashram in Gomti Nagar attracted twenty participants who learned Sanskrit devotional songs under the guidance of trainer Guru Asha Srivastava.
The event was formally opened by Prof. Dr. Usha Sinha and Dr. Rashmi Srivastava, who praised the initiative to revive interest in the classical language through musical engagement. General Secretary Kanak Verma emphasized that the workshop is designed to help people of all age groups connect with Sanskrit in an accessible and melodious manner.
The session began with a traditional Saraswati Vandana, setting a spiritual tone for the learning experience. Speakers highlighted Sanskrit's significance as the mother of many Indian languages and its immense cultural value. The workshop will continue with structured sessions focusing on pronunciation, rhythm, lyrical understanding, and group performance, aiming to make Sanskrit both preserved and enjoyable for younger generations.
