Sapna Book House has marked a significant milestone by simultaneously launching 70 Kannada literary works across eight cities in Karnataka on December 27, as part of the 70th Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations.
Writer and critic Pradhan Gurudutt praised the publisher's sustained commitment to Kannada literature, noting that few institutions match its output and dedication to propagating literature rather than merely conducting business. He emphasized that publishing 70 books simultaneously demonstrates remarkable institutional strength.
The collection encompasses works by both established and emerging writers across major genres, drawn from different parts of the state. Sapna Book House's long-standing practice includes offering special discounts on Kannada books during the Rajyotsava season in November and formally launching new titles at all 24 outlets across Karnataka.
The initiative aims to make knowledge accessible to Kannadigas and strengthen Kannada as a language of everyday use. The simultaneous launch at branches in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Hassan, and Davangere underscores the state-wide scale and institutional commitment of this publishing endeavor.
