Dogri Sanstha Jammu, one of the region's oldest literary organizations, celebrated its 82nd Foundation Day with a vibrant Kavi Goshthi (poetry gathering) showcasing original compositions from over 20 prominent Dogri writers and poets.
The organization, established on Basant Panchami - a day symbolizing knowledge and creativity - continues its decades-long mission of promoting and preserving Dogri language and literature. The celebration highlighted the cultural richness and contemporary relevance of Dogri literary traditions.
Professor Lalit Magotra, president of the Sanstha, emphasized the organization's pioneering role in nurturing Dogri language throughout its history. He called upon writers and younger generations to actively participate in literary activities to ensure wider recognition for Dogri language and culture.
The well-attended event featured distinguished poets including Saujanya Sharma (chief guest), Inderjeet Kesar, Nirmal Vinod, and many others who contributed to an evening celebrating the linguistic heritage of the region.
