The National Sanskrit University (NSU) in Tirupati successfully concluded its Fourth All India Sanskrit Students' Talent Meet 2026 on Saturday, bringing together talented Sanskrit scholars from across the country.
TTD Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Choudary, who attended as the chief guest, highlighted the fundamental connection between Sanskrit and India's cultural heritage and development. He emphasized that following ethical values leads to societal progress and encouraged students to dedicate themselves to scriptural studies and the preservation of Sanskrit traditions.
Prof Kishore Chandra Padi, former Vice-Chancellor of Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, reinforced the idea that India's development is intrinsically linked to Sanskrit. He noted that national competitions foster healthy competition among students.
The event, organized through NSU's Vagvardhini Parishat, was designed to showcase student talents and promote Sanskrit learning, according to Vice-Chancellor Prof GSR Krishna Murthy. He added that such initiatives contribute to students' holistic development - physical, mental, and spiritual.
The university administration hopes these efforts will strengthen Sanskrit's position in India's educational landscape while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
