The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) has launched its globally recognized "Open Water Diver eLearning course" in Hindi, marking a significant step toward inclusive diving education in India. This initiative addresses language barriers that previously prevented many Indian students from pursuing scuba diving certification.
The Hindi eLearning option allows students to complete theoretical training online at their own pace, covering essential topics like diving safety, equipment, and skills before progressing to practical training with certified instructors. Popular diving destinations such as the Andaman Islands, Lakshadweep, Goa, and Puducherry are witnessing increased domestic tourist interest in ocean experiences.
Vinod Bondi, PADI's Regional Manager for India, emphasized that ""language should never limit someone's ability to learn or explore"" and expressed the organization's commitment to empowering more Indians to confidently enter the underwater world. With India's extensive coastline and growing adventure tourism sector, this move positions the country as one of Asia's most promising scuba diving markets.
